Jokkmokk Värmeverk AB
Background
Jokkmokk district heating plant is estimated to produce approximately 35 GWh of heat annually. The plant primarily uses renewable biomass fuels in its district heating production, consisting of wood chips, bark, and pellets.
Our solution
Againity delivered an automated ORC system with a maximum capacity of 355 kW of electricity production. The ORC system enables electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boiler. In total, the system is expected to produce 1,256 MWh annually, corresponding to emission savings of 1,130 tonnes of CO₂ equivalents when replacing European marginal electricity.
