Skurup, Solör bioenergi AB
Background
The district heating plant in Skurup is owned by Solör Bioenergi AB. The plant primarily uses biomass fuels, including wood chips and pellets. It chose to complement its facility with an ORC system to reduce internal electricity costs through self-sufficiency, while also aiming for a more climate-smart and sustainable society.
Our solution
Againity delivered an automated ORC system with a maximum capacity of 75 kW of electricity production. The ORC system enables electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boiler. In total, the system is expected to produce 396 MWh annually, corresponding to emission savings of 356 tonnes of CO₂ equivalents when replacing European marginal electricity.
