Skara Energi AB
Background
The district heating plant in Skara, owned by Skara Energi AB, has chosen to invest in electricity generation by installing an ORC turbine at the facility. The turbine is powered by a 10 MW hot water boiler fueled by biomass. The investment not only reduces electricity and grid costs but also strengthens the company’s efforts toward increased climate neutrality.
Our solution
Againity delivered an automated ORC system with a maximum capacity of 99.9 kW of electricity production. The ORC system enables electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boiler, with total expected annual production of 687 GWh.
