Background

The district heating plant in Juva, Finland, owned by Lempeä Lämpö Oy, has undergone modernization in recent years. The company invested in an ORC turbine that utilizes hot water from a 10.6 MW biomass-fired boiler. This investment not only enables on-site electricity production but also strengthens their efforts toward becoming more climate-neutral.

Our solution

Againity delivered an automated ORC system with a maximum capacity of 132 kW of electricity production. The ORC system enables electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boiler. Lempeä Lämpö Oy has chosen to sign a service agreement with Againity to ensure a long lifespan and minimal maintenance.
