Background

The district heating plant in Sävsjö, owned by Njudung Sävsjö Energi AB, has undergone modernization in recent years. The company invested in an ORC turbine that utilizes hot water from its existing biomass-fired boiler. The investment not only makes the plant more efficient but also contributes to a more sustainable district heating system.

Our solution

Againity delivered two automated ORC systems with a combined maximum capacity of 315 kW of electricity production. The ORC systems enable electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boiler. In total, the system is expected to produce 1,151 MWh annually. Njudung Sävsjö Energi AB has chosen to sign a service agreement with Againity to ensure a long lifespan and minimal maintenance.
