Forshaga Energi AB
Background
The district heating plant in Forshaga, owned by Forshaga Energi, produces approximately 13.3 GWh of heat annually. The company has three production facilities in Forshaga and Deje, and at all of them, biomass in the form of briquettes or pellets is used as the primary fuel source.
Our solution
Againity delivered an automated ORC system with a maximum capacity of 90 kW of electricity production. The ORC system enables electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boiler. In total, the system is expected to produce 274 MWh annually, corresponding to emission savings of 247 tonnes of CO₂ equivalents when replacing European marginal electricity.
