Background

The district heating plant in Paneriškės, Vilnius, owned by Idex Paneriškių IQ UAB, has in recent years focused on modernizing the facility to enable fossil-free district heating production. As part of this initiative, the company chose to invest in two ORC turbines connected to a hot water boiler. The investment not only reduces electricity and grid costs but also helps the operation move toward greater climate neutrality.

Our solution

Againity’s delivery consisted of two automated ORC systems, each with a maximum capacity of 400 kW of electricity production. The ORC systems enable electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boiler. Idex Paneriškių IQ UAB has chosen to sign a service agreement with Againity to ensure a long lifespan and minimal maintenance.
