Åseda Värmeverk, Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme AB

Background

Åseda district heating plant is owned by Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme AB, a leading provider of renewable energy for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. As part of its goal to become fully climate-neutral by 2040 and increase the share of renewable electricity, Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme AB chose to invest in an ORC turbine connected to the plant’s two hot water boilers. This enables on-site electricity generation that in practice covers the plant’s internal electricity demand.

Our solution

Againity delivered an automated ORC system with a maximum capacity of 132 kW of electricity production. The ORC system enables electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boilers. In total, the system is expected to produce 446 MWh annually.
