The district heating plant in Tallinn is owned by EKT Ecobio OÜ, which in recent years has invested in modernizing the plant to enable climate-smart district heating production. In connection with this, EKT Ecobio OÜ chose to invest in an ORC turbine connected to a 2 MW hot water boiler. The investment not only reduces electricity and grid costs but also contributes to greater climate neutrality.

Againity delivered an automated ORC system with a maximum capacity of 110 kW of electricity production. The ORC system enables electricity generation from the hot water produced by the boiler. EKT Ecobio OÜ has also chosen to sign a service agreement with Againity to ensure a long lifespan and minimal maintenance.
