Background:
The heating plant in Skurup is owned by Solör Bioenergi AB. The heating plant mainly burns biofuels, which consist of wood chips and pellets. The heating plant chose to supplement its facility with an ORC system to reduce its internal electricity costs through its own electricity supply and at the same time aim for a more climate-smart and sustainable society.
Our solution:
Againity delivered an automated ORC system with a maximum capacity of 75 kW electricity production. The ORC system enables electricity generation from the boiler’s hot water. In total, the system is expected to produce 396 MWh annually, corresponding to emission savings of 356 tonnes of CO2 equivalents when substituting coal-based electricity.
